cutter...

what a week... last monday cutter became very sick. (cutter is our dog who is mike's best friend in the world and after this whole thing i guess i do love him somehow) he would not eat or drink. by wednesday he was even worse. he couldn't even walk. we took him to the emergency vet in spooner which then pumped him full of fluids and kept him overnight. they gave us some medications hoping that whatever was going on would fix itself. we brought him home on thursday. thursday night he still was not eating or drinking. (i don't think i've cried this much in a long time) my whole being was saying he was going to die but i was trying to be stong formike so i would go cry on the phone to my mom and then walk in and tell mike everything was going to be ok!! mike got up every hour to force fluids down cutter's throat which he then in turn would puke up!! ug!! by morning we were both emotionally exhausted. we decided to contact another vet and get his opionion. well it turned out he had something stuck in his intestines. the choice was to either put him down or do surgery. we chose surgery! (very poor now!!) he made it through surgery on friday. the doctor found an 18 inch. white terry cloth stuck in his intestine. who knows why he ate it and how he got it. i have no white towels what so ever in my house!! ug!! saturday we got a call saying he was doing better but not eating yet which was to be expected and then on sunday we got the news we get to bring him home today!! yeah!! so after a long week of many ups and downs we are all doing much better!!
