aaaaahhhh mike and i just took a quick overnight trip to eauclaire last night. it was great. mike and i get away for weekends but for some reason this trip was great. i actually relaxed. nothing to do but relax. often when i schedule a weekend away its in advance and i have in my mind all i want to do. well on this trip i didn't plan. my plan happened abt two hrs before leaving. i decided to surprise mike. he's been so tired lately and i know our summer is just going to pick up so i decided we needed some us time. went onto priceline and got a great deal and off we went. even better when we got there they put us in a whirlpool suit. i was in heaven. we relaxed and shopped. couldn't ask for a better weekend together!!
now we are back home. little guy is pooped. he stayed with nana and papa and loved every minute of it!! he's in bed and i'm waiting for mike to get home from golf so we can enjoy strawberry shortcake together. its a fond memory for us when we eat it. the summer before we got married mike and i were both working a ton. its was also always hot. mom gave me some frozen strawberries so i would bake short cake and then head to mike's and we would eat strawberry shortcake with whip cream for dinner!! good memories i will always have.
also on a side note in case i haven't mentioned it lately!! i love love love my husband!!
