we have Internet and things are settling in around here. not only do we have a deck but our skirting is now on. its feeling more like home as we go but it will take time. we still want to get the grass planted and hopefully get some landscaping done but we'll see. my parents came to visit and brought me more toys for the kids and more frames for my walls. need some of my girlfriends to visit and help me decorate!!! someday hopefully!!
ryan. now crawling and oh my everywhere. besides that in the last few weeks he has mastered pulling himself up on everything and loves when he finds something new to pull himself up on. he also got his first tooth last week which I am so thankful for but i'm thinking the other one is on its way also cause he's still chopping and drooling up a storm. he is constantly ruining john's farm or lines of cars or animals. john often yells no and ryan screams right back at him when john takes away what he wants. I often let it just unfold cause they both are going to have to learn to deal with each other but excited when ry can voice himself more and let john know whats up!! ryan's personality is coming out more and more and he is one little spitfire. he loves life but when its not going his way he lets you know. he loves to jibber jabber and plays by himself real well. he often follows everyone around the house and if he sees that the door to the laundry room is open he is crawling as fast as his little legs to get there before I shut the door. I love this little man so much. he lights up my world.
john. my three and half year old is so big. time flies. no longer does he snuggle for a long period of time and no longer am I the most important person in his life. daddy is his world. he loves everything with daddy which I can't really say is wrong or defeating. he's a boy and he loves doing what daddy does. helping build things, hunting ducks, scouting ducks, pretty much anything that involves his dad. he is now the big brother who thinks his little brother should be able to play all things with him. i'm often breaking them apart cause john has got to much going on for little ry. i'm looking forward to when they can actually play together.
events. the end of august mike's whole family decided to have a get together here in north dakota. we had a blast and is certainly different having two kids. we spent one evening in Medora being tourist and also seeing the Medora musical. I kinda get stressed during these outings and mike is quick to remind me that in a few years our kids will be the ones more independent and the rest will being running after there little ones. its always good to get that reminder that this will pass and we will miss it but till then thankful for my man and his wonderful help and patience and for family to always grab a kid before this mom goes insane!!
in September john spent two weeks with an impromptu stay with my folks in wi. he was in heaven. both mike and I missed him a ton but to be honest I really needed this break. it was also fun for us also to have just ryan.
john also started awana which means he is a cubbie!! I really like the program. they memorize verses and really dig into the scripture. mike and I both love spending our bible time with john at home also! him learning abt jesus and asking questions makes us so aware as parents how much we need to live our lives as an example of Christ! onto church... so mike and I are going to this church in bowman and about a month ago we learned that the board asked the pastor to step down. we don't know what all went down but its a struggle for both of us. the church is really struggling and both mike and I are really uncertain abt were we are at with all of it. please pray for us as we make decisions regarding church and where we go.
k so I think that's the latest with what we got going on. oh one more thing that i'm so thrilled abt!! my sister in-law is moving here. yes here as the same town I live in!! she took a job in a nearby town and i'm so so thrilled to have her here. my boys love her and i'm so thrilled to have a girl here. although she might rub off on me a bit cause I told mike I want a pair of cowboy boots for Christmas!! gotta fit in when you live in cowboy country!! k got to get going!! miss and love you all!!
