exhausted...

the last few days have been somewhat overwhelming. on wednesday morning i woke up not feeling so great. after being on the toilet a few times i thought i was good so off to work i went! well 45 mins. passed at work and the garbage can under my desk became of really good use!! i then went home. when all this was happening i also noticed that i was having stomach pains that would come and go. i chatted with mom (who is on vacation with dad in florida) on the phone and she said i should be keeping track of them. they were about 7 minutes apart. i had a doctors appt. at 1 so i figured i'm good and i'll check with the doctor then. i went into my appointment and while measuring my stomach the doctor could feel my contraction. she then wanted me to be omitted to the ob. once there i hooked up to monitors for the contractions and also the baby. during this time i made calls to my sister to try to get ahold of mike. which she did and eventually both her and mike were there for support. (so thankful for my sister) turns out i was super super dehydrated and thus causing the contractions. i was pumped full of liquids and of course a shot to stop the contractions (the shot makes you feel like you have had 10 cups of coffee.. ug) my contractions had slowed down and i wasn't dilated at all so the doctor felt as long as i was not having more that 6 contractions per hour and keeping food down i could leave. so we did. that was around 5. we went home and about 6 they started back up every 8 mins. and once again i was puking and on the toilet. so off once again to the hospital we went but this time overnight!! yikes!! once again fluids and a shot. i didn't get much sleep and neither did mike. by morning contractions didn't seem to be happening but low and behold they came back. once again another shot and waiting. the shot helps for awhile but after it wears off i'm contracting again. the good part was that i held down breakfast and lunch. the doctor sent my home with medication to stop the contractions if they get bad again. the rest of the day involved me sleeping. i slept good through the night and i'm keeping food down. i've had a few contractions but nothing serious. the doctor said they might just go away as i regain my strength or i just might have to deal with them for awhile and pray they don't get more serious. we need another month with this baby in my tummy!! so there you have it!! i'm sitting at home taking it easy and drinking as much fluid as possible.

more than anything both mike and i realized how very very excited we are for this little one. i don't think either of us realized how much we want this baby out to hold!! i'll ask for your prayers for the next month or so. pray that this little one stays put until he's fully baked and that i can deliver him/her!!! :o)
