short lived but fun day

life speeds by without much thought. its almost fall and i'm in shock. kids are headed back to school and the weather is getting cooler! today has been one of those short lived but fun days!! it began with john waking up at 6:30 cooing in his bed!! then it was me peeking over the crib to see him and when he notices me he busts out in a huge grin!! these moments i won't ever forget!! ahh i love him so much!! well then after being fed and dressed we headed over to a friends house to be babysat. john stayed and played with his new buddies and I went for a pedicure with a dear friend!! we both were in awe and loving every moment of it! our thoughts were on our boys the whole time but we still mananged to relax and enjoy the few minutes of no baby in our arms!! after sparkling toes was day in duluth with mom and shops!! got a few more outfits that are bigger and warmer for john (oh note to how big he is 22lbs. 28 inches long at 4 and 1/2 months) yikes right! are trip back included picking up dad at the hunting shack and puking on mom in the back seat!! yeah! after getting back home was bath time! after a bath was eating and after eating was sleeping! so now john is sound asleep and my sister just called to say pictures were posted of john. chad's girlfriends mom came up a couple weeks ago and took pics of us all!! she did a great job!! i can't think of a better way to end my day but looking at my son in pictures!! thanks gayle they are awesome!! also note not mentioning mike he is actually gone for the 2nd weekend in a row!! last weekend was fantasy football draft and this weekend is helping his parents!! we miss him lots!!
