finally a few hours to sit and jot down some thoughts.
its been forever since I've sat down to blog. lots to catch up on. so kids have been feeling pretty good no bad colds and life is settling down to a pattern it seems. mike's busy working and I've been busy unpacking. yes we are finally in our house. I still have weird things everywhere looking for a place to put them but for the most part every box that needed to be unpacked is. its been a long process but i'm so glad its done.
k on to my favorite two things in the world my two boys...
john is now 3! yes I have a three year old and i'm blown away at how fast it went. I can't believe that in a matter of a few years he will be headed to school. not going to think of it!! john amazes me every day to how he lines up all the shoes in the doorway according to size and type of shoes or his simple joy of just helping mom. one of the bigger accomplishments we had was potty training. a couple of weeks after his birthday I finally told myself I need to get it done!! so unlike the other times I decided to not read any blogs, give treats, or really have a plan. guess what it worked. no plan no treats no advice from the computer!! it wasn't easy by any means but after the third day I finally felt like we were getting somewhere. we had oops and accidents but by the weekend it was normal to see john running for the toilet and then coming out saying "I went peeee!!!" and then me saying and dancing a good job john! we did real good but abt two weeks later we headed for WI and I knew he might go a little bit backwards and he did but it wasn't awful. we got back home and once again he was right on track. we still often have him running naked out into the living room hollering he went pee with a huge grin which in turn I always reply with a yeah or sing a weird song I made up. speaking of making up a song... so the other day john goes and I start singing a weird made up song and john looks at me all serious like and says "Alright mom that enough, that's enough singing" I told him calmly ok and broke out laughing as soon as he was in the other room! he cracks me up quite often. my world would be so gray without him in it. for memorial day weekend we went to mike's parents place where john for the first time became a cowboy. it was awesome to see his joy and excitement of it! we are now back home and to be honest we have been stuck inside for abt 2 weeks and needless to say we are all ready for a nice sunshiny day! K I thought I would write more but I simply just don't have time. So hoping tomorrow I can get more in about Ry!!
