my job title...

aaaahhhh monday and a good cup of coffee. really good coffee is really needed for mondays around here. what a weekend. i'm exhausted in a good way. this weekend i was determined to work on our breezeway!! i so badly wanted to get the stain on and the poly. so on saturday that is what mike and i did!! i stained and he polyed. it was a long day full of awful smells. all mike kept saying is we should do this in the summer when its nice so we can air it out and work. we were needless to say a little high by the time we were done. oh my does it look good. we experimented with trimming the window frames in red and i'm not so sure now but the gray stain in put on the entire wall was my big "oh i hope i won't hate it" but i love it!! every time i look at it i like it more!! i'm sure its not everyone's taste but i love it!! so enough abt that!!
you can't notice alot but it has a gray tone!!
some things about my little boy... he now is a boy who sleeps without a bed rail. last night i took the big leap and took it off. if you remember we tried this before and well he fell off and mike wanted nothing to do with it. well this time he made it through the night with no falls. i woke up to him calling mama. i went into his room and he was sitting on his bed smiling away!! love those bright smiles in the early morning. now i know he might not make it tonight without a fall but i'm hoping we are on a good start. it does make me kinda sad cause he is getting so big but i'm so proud of him!!

k one other story... so mike and i have both been trying harder to pray with john at different moments throughout the day. the other day john lined up all his cows and i hear his little cute voice say "pray... jibber jabber cow jibber jabber... men" oh i love this little boy!! when i first started praying with the children before meals some of them had no idea what it meant. i love that when i ask them to pray now everyone of them clasps their tiny little hands together.

my job title... leading little lives to Christ. what a responsibility that Christ gives to each of us parents. leading our children to Christ.
